Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Skills Group for Adults

Group will meet via video from 12-1 pm ET starting Wednesday, September 7 and lasting for 6 weeks until October 12. Groups will be led by Best Life therapist and DBT expert Meredith Futernick

Residents of CO, DC, FL, MD, NJ, and VA can attend! Must be 25+ for this adult group.

If you struggle with up and down moods and intense emotions that make your relationships harder, this is the group for you.

 

​DBT Skills help you learn more effective ways of dealing with people and situations. There are four skills taught in DBT:​

  1. Mindfulness: the practice of being fully aware and present in this one moment​

  2. Distress Tolerance: how to tolerate pain in difficult situations, not change it​

  3. Interpersonal Effectiveness: how to ask for what you want and say no while maintaining self-respect and relationships with others​

  4. Emotion Regulation: how to change emotions that you want to change

Rates are $55/session or $300 for all 6 sessions. To see if you can submit group therapy receipt for reimbursement from your insurance provider, you can call and tell them the service/CPT code will be Group Therapy - 90853.
