Dr. Thomas Ballas

Dr. Thomas Ballas is a dedicated and compassionate licensed clinical psychologist with nearly a decade of experience in mental health. He works with clients ages 14+ and sees individuals and couples.

He can provide therapy to residents of Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, D.C., Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin, and Wyoming. Dr. Ballas also works extensively with couples who are looking to improve and deepen their relationship, overcome intimacy concerns, strengthen communication, and rebuild trust after infidelity. He provides a structured yet compassionate approach to helping couples navigate challenges and create lasting emotional connection and sound relationship foundation.

Dr. Ballas utilizes evidence-based therapeutic approaches tailored to each client's unique needs. His methods include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy ( DBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and Trauma-Focused therapies. With couples, he utilizes Gottman tenets to enhance relationship dynamics and promote long-term connection.

Outside of his professional life, Dr. Ballas is married and an avid traveler with a deep appreciation for the outdoors. He stays active through cycling and hiking, often accompanied by his loyal dog.
