Janet Hasson, LCSW

Janet Hasson, LCSW, has more than 25 years experience as a clinician. She brings a warm, compassionate, and strengths-based approach to therapy. She is a great fit for clients looking for a deeper approach to their issues that goes beyond worksheets and one-size-fits-all modalities. Due to the deeper nature of her work, Janet provides 60 or 90 minute sessions, which are $345/hour and $520/90 minutes. 

 

Janet works with individuals, couples, and families, and is licensed in California and New York.

Janet’s practice is grounded in the belief that each person holds the capacity for growth and resilience. At the heart of her work, Janet believes that the quality of our relationships are central to our emotional well-being. Janet believes in individualizing therapy based on your needs, personality, goals, and experiences. She listens closely, with curiosity and care, and will pull holistically from various frameworks and evidenced-based approaches to tailor your work together in a way that honors your unique needs, personality, and goals. Janet also holds additional certifications in school social work, child development, infant mental health, and nutrition and wellness counseling. She utilizes this comprehensive understanding of the biological, psychological, and social emotional needs of those she works with in order
to promote positive outcomes. When working with couples, Janet’s style is warm and empathic, honoring each person’s experience, while offering important feedback to promote deeper understanding, connection, and positive change.

Janet is a California native and lives there with her husband and kids. She enjoys reading, spending quality time with family and friends, going to concerts and plays, and outdoor activities.
